Nas's album "Distant Relatives" is due to release May 18th. The album will be a collaboration with reggae artist Damian Marley, son of Bob Marley. The title came from Nas and Marley's relationship, their shared African ancestry, and the shared ancestry of the entire human race; which musically and lyrically inspired each recording. The album's content will heavily revolve around Africa, from ancestry to poverty. I almost want to jump up and down with excitement because I love both artists. I think that Hip Hop needs this album right now. Nas always goes hard on america and their morals and perspectives of black people. The album will also feature artists K'Naan, Snoop Dog, Lil' Wayne, Stevie Wonder, Stephan Marley and Joss Stone. I know that Nas is going to bring it!
