On Thursday, March 11th, Nets co-owner Shawn Carter a.k.a Jay-Z broke new ground at the site of the teams new home, The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Shawn became part owner in in 2004 and owns about .0001%. Also in attendance was his wife Beyonce, Reverend Al Sharpton, New York Governor David Paterson and New York City Mayor Micheal Bloomberg just to name a few.
