The 11th Circuit Court of Appeals in Atlanta ruled that U.S. District Judge William Terrell Hodges handed the 47-year-old actor Wesley Snipes the maximum term after a jury found him guilty back in 2008. Snipes was hoping to either get the sentence overturned or win a new trial on the grounds of a technicality-
that he should have been allowed a hearing to decide whether his trial could be held in New York instead of Florida. There is no news on whether his lawyers will appeal this latest ruling.
